GDI PLAYBOOK WORKSHOPS
These interactive workshops utilize research-based guidance from the GDI Playbook to explore opportunities for inclusive strategies throughout game development. Inspired by the journey mapping framework to identify areas for improvement and optimization in game development, participants will engage in small-group work to explore how research-based guidance on representation can be integrated into different stages of video game production.
By the end of the workshop, game creators will leave with actionable strategies to enhance their projects and improve player experiences. Session options include:
-
Rethinking Creative Assumptions in Ideation
-
Designing Multi-Dimensional Characters with Agency
-
Challenging Tropes and Stereotypes in Narrative Design
-
Co-Creation with Players: Marketing and Representation.
